Augier Cognac Le Singulier

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

41.5% ABV, 750 ml, Folle Blanche grapes

Augier Cognac "Le Singular" celebrates the now rare folle blanche grown in Grande Champagne. The distillate undergoes a natural lees distillation, and is non-chill filtered with no added ingredients. There is no age statement or designation, though its youngest eaux-de-vie is 4 years old.

Augier is quite probably the very first Cognac house, started by wine merchant Philippe Augier in 1643. Since 2013, it's been in the hands of Pernod Ricard, who seeks to make a Cognac as true to the original style of this historic house as possible by focusing on grape and terroir. Imbibe magazine said, "This is cognac for geeks. But it’s also cognac for people who want to taste cognac made with different varieties, or with different types of distillation.
