Darioush Signature Viognier expresses its inherently bright and vibrant character when grown from the cooler locales of Oak Knoll and Los Carneros where dense early morning fog and late afternoon breezes allow this delicate variety to ripen slowly and completely. The hallmark of Signature Viognier is its effusive floral aromatics and core of juicy stone fruit.
Crisp and remarkably fragrant, 2022 Signature Viognier opens with fresh aromas of honeysuckle, cantaloupe, and kumquat.
A lifted quality, reminiscent of lemon zest, broadens on entry and gives way to pleasing stone fruit layers— juicy apricot, lychee, and nectarine mingle on the palate. A sleek, limestone-like minerality frames the long, persistent finish that is punctuated by delicate spiced notes.
