Though most may be familiar with the Barberas of Asti and Alba, the Monferrato is said to provide more faithful expression of the grape due to its warmer climate and longer hours of sunlight. Fermented and aged in cement tanks, this is a tasty Barbera with plush red fruit and a touch of sweet spice on the finish. Full-bodied in nature, this red finishes silky soft.
A dark garnet robe leads to a deep, earthy fruit nose and a palate loaded with bright, spicy Barbera fruit and smooth tannins followed by a deliciously perfumed finish.
