"The modern-day history of Chateau du Tariquet dates from the end of the Second World War, when Pierre Grassa and his wife fell in love with the estate and undertook its restoration. They returned the estate to Bas-Armagnac production and, in 1972, with the help of two of their children, established a company to help sell what they produced. Tariquet’s 12-year-old cask strength is 100% Folle Blanche. Dark gold in color, it has a clean, intense nose expressing softness with vanilla and a pleasant note of cocoa. The nose reveals exotic fragrances when the brandy is exposed to the air, and in the mouth it is magnificent, round, rich, smooth and fine, full, yet fresh and expressive."
