Complicated 2016 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

SONOMA COAST AVA
The Sonoma Coast AVA is an American Viticultural Area in Sonoma
County, California, mostly along the coastline of the Pacific Ocean.
It extends from San Pablo Bay to the border of Mendocino County.
The appellation is known for its cool climate and high rainfall relative
to other parts of Sonoma County. Burgundian varietals Pinot Noir
and Chardonnay star in this cool–climate appellation.

2016 VINTAGE
Similar to other great wine regions in Northern California, the 2016
growing season in Sonoma Coast was ideal. Our growing season
started earlier than other locations because the coastal influence
protected us from frost. The region’s classic, moderate temperatures
elongated the growing season allowing our grapes to retain acidity
and develop classic Pinot Noir flavors.

TASTING NOTES
Complicated 2016 Pinot Noir is a classic Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.
With good clarity and a soft, ruby color in the glass, the wine
presents beautiful aromas of crushed violets and cherry blossoms
complimented by oak notes of sweet vanilla, cedar and spice. The
smooth, full mouthfeel of this wine supports flavors of strawberry
jam, sweet smoke, roasted nuts.
