Cruz de Fuego Mezcals are crafted traditionally, using a horse drawn tahona, and earthen wood fired pits. Cruz de Fuego (or "cross of fire") is named for the Catholic crucifix and meant to represent the spirit of Oaxaca where the mezcal is made.
The agave harvested for this expression were between 7 and 10 years of age. This is an incredibly friendly expression of Mezcal, exhibiting the light sweetness of fresh root vegetables, stone fruit skin, and white flowers. Distilled in Santiago Matatlán and bottled at 45% abv.
