The oldest house in Bas Armagnac, the Dartigalongue family began to distill in 1813. In 1838, Pascal Dartigalongue founded the first Maison d'Armagnac in Nogaro, the heart of the Bas Armagnac region. In 1870 son Joseph acquired a large vineyard in Salles d'Armagnac near Nogaro.

The Dartigalongue 1933 Vintage Bas Armagnac, aged 90 years, is an exceptional example of artisanal French brandy from one of the oldest Armagnac producers in Gascony. Produced in a vintage year known for its excellent conditions, this Bas Armagnac offers a rich tasting profile. Its nose exudes aromas of aged wood, old leather, and a subtle mix of dried fruits and spice, leading to a palate that’s both dense and remarkably complex, with flavors of dark fruits, vanilla, and a whisper of rancio—a hallmark of such prolonged aging. The finish is long, gracefully integrating oak and a touch of earthy warmth that speaks to its extensive maturation.

Rare and collectible, this release is celebrated not only for its craftsmanship but also for its ability to capture and preserve the character of the 1933 harvest over nearly a century. Given its age and rarity, it is often sought by collectors and is intended for savoring in small, contemplative sips to appreciate its profound depth.
