Domaine de d'Arlot 2014 Nuits Saint Georges Le Petit Arlot
(destemmed; from 14-year-old vines; just bottled on the morning of my visit): Bright red. The rather tight nose shows distinctly darker aromas than the Clos du Chapeau: black cherry, licorice and wild herbs. Quite firm in the mouth, offering good shape to its dark berry and mineral flavors. This distinctly more serious wine will need a year or two in the cellar.
