Epoch 2015 "Veracity" Proprietary Red Paso Robles

Paso Robles , Willow Creek District

Robert Parker 96 Points: "A blend of 47% Grenache, 34% Mourvèdre and 19% Syrah, the 2015 Veracity Proprietary Red reveals aromas of ripe plums, cassis, rose petal and exotic spice, framed by a subtle touch of new oak. On the palate, it's full-bodied, deep and layered, with lots of crunchy, concentrated fruit and a formidable chassis of rich tannin and extract, concluding with a long, youthfully chewy finish. Cellar it for another year or two, preferably longer."

Josh Raynolds 96 Points: "(17% whole clusters; raised in a combination of concrete tank and new and used French oak barrels of varying size) Deep lurid ruby. Intense red and blue fruit preserve and floral aromas, along with hints of cola, vanilla and exotic spices. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering intense boysenberry and raspberry flavors underscored by a vein of juicy acidity. Rich and broad but lively as well, showing excellent clarity and a bitter chocolate nuance on the strikingly long, youthfully tannic finish."
