Lieu dit "Les Vaumuriens" is a 44 acre village level vineyard just northwest of the main village of Pommard. Domaine Faiveley controls 2.25 acres in the heart of the vineyard. Exposure is to the east/ northeast and soils are primarily clay and limestone.
A beautiful dark ruby color. The nose gives off aromas of black fruits and spices, with woody and smoky notes. At first, the wine’s powerful substance comes through on the palate, with tannins present but well blended. There are pleasant woody notes from being raised in oak, as on the nose.
