The Killowen Rum & Raisin Single Malt Irish Whiskey is a distinctive expression from Killowen Distillery, showcasing their commitment to traditional methods and innovative cask finishing. This 5-year-old single malt originates from County Louth malt, initially matured in bourbon casks before being divided for finishing in Killowen's own dark rum casks and Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry butts. This dual maturation imparts a harmonious blend of flavors, combining the rich, dried fruit notes from the PX sherry with the tropical nuances of coconut and vanilla from the rum casks.
