The 2013 Côte à Côte plays in the same ballpark as much of L’Aventure’s offerings and gives up gorgeous black raspberry, violets, spring flowers, and licorice in its medium to full-bodied, elegant and seamless personality. The purity is astounding and while it has loads of fruit, it’s perfectly balanced and has sound underlying structure. It’s another wine that will drink nicely on release, yet also evolve gracefully.
