Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt 2003 Riesling Spatlese Scharzhofberger

Description

The 2003 Scharzhofberger Riesling Spatlese is well aged and textured, smelling of peach and diverse flowers, both of which are vividly present on the palate, which shimmers brightly with its interplay of citrus and mineral. The creaminess of texture exhibited is of a most subtle sort, combined with delicacy of touch and of flavors.  Given the quality of this 15 year old wine, not to mention the opportunity to experience a terrific example of a prestigious site, this represents a sensational value.

"A lush, voluminous Riesling, with ripe apricot, lime and mineral lurking in the background. The structure is apparent from midpalate through finish, suggesting this needs more time to integrate." Wine Spectator 90 Points
