PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Mijenta Blanco makes a strong case for what a blanco tequila should be: expressive, clean, and vibrant without resorting to additives or over-production. It showcases its agave roots clearly—sweet, floral, and slightly peppery—while retaining elegance. Excellent both sipped neat and as a premium base in cocktails. For someone who enjoys clarity of agave flavour and craftsmanship, this is a standout.
Made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco (Arandas area).
Cooked slowly in traditional brick ovens, using full-mature agaves, then double-distilled in copper pots.
Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof), unaged (blanco) so you get the raw expression of the terroir and agave without wood influence.
Emphasis on additive-free processing and sustainability: the brand uses recycled agave waste in its packaging components; labels, boxes and related paper materials come from agave waste.
| Element | Notes |
|---|---|
| Appearance | Bright and transparent. Clean blanco color. |
| Aroma / Nose | Intense cooked agave up front; vanilla and caramel; floral and fruity notes such as cantaloupe, peaches; white flowers, a touch of honey. |
| Palate / Taste | Rich cooked agave flavour; fresh fruit, especially summer melon; honey; warm spices (especially cinnamon or white pepper) show up; vanilla sweetness; balanced with a crisp edge. |
| Finish | Generous round finish; smooth and balanced, with lingering warmth; spicy and dry notes (pepper, baking spice) persist. |
Cocktails:
Margarita, Paloma, or any fresh citrus-forward drink where the bright agave can shine.
Tequila & soda with a squeeze of lime or grapefruit to highlight citrus and floral notes.
Highball style cocktails where you want purity and clarity (think minimalistic mixers).
Food Pairings:
Seafood: ceviche, shrimp tacos, oysters — the blanco’s clean agave and pepper enhance fresh flavour, cutting through brine or citrus.
Fruits & Salads: melon, citrus segments, fresh peach, or salads with citrus vinaigrette, herbs. These echo the fruity and floral elements.
Lightly Spiced / Herbal Dishes: grilled vegetables, dishes with pepper, cilantro, jalapeño – the spice/pepper finish plays well.
Cheese: Fresh cheeses, goat cheese, mild queso fresco. The tequila’s crispness and floral notes complement dairy without overwhelming.
