PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Labranche Laffont 2020 Madiran is a deeply structured and authentic expression of Southwest France’s iconic Tannat grape. Bold yet remarkably balanced, it offers inky dark fruit, savory spice, and firm tannins supported by fresh acidity. Crafted from old vines and organic vineyards, this wine captures the powerful character of Madiran while delivering surprising elegance and drinkability.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Domaine Labranche-Laffont is located in the Madiran appellation in Southwest France, near the foothills of the Pyrenees. The estate is led by Christine Dupuy, who took over the family domaine in the early 1990s and transformed it into one of the appellation’s most respected producers.
This traditional approach highlights the strength and authenticity of Tannat while ensuring balance and refinement.
Critics Reviews
There are no widely published professional critic scores available for the 2020 vintage.
However, the domaine itself has been recognized among the leading producers of Madiran for its precise, terroir-driven wines emphasizing old-vine Tannat and traditional methods.
