Origins & Craftsmanship
Patz & Hall has built its reputation over nearly four decades by producing single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from California’s most celebrated sites, working closely with long-term grower partners to highlight vineyard character.
The fruit for this wine comes from the iconic Hyde Vineyard in the Carneros AVA, planted and farmed by renowned grower Larry Hyde, whom Wine Spectator has famously referred to as “the Wise Man of Carneros.”
Located at the southern edge of Napa Valley near San Pablo Bay, Carneros is a cool-climate region heavily influenced by marine fog and breezes, which slow grape ripening and help Chardonnay develop vibrant acidity and layered aromatics.
