Dewar’s 18 Year Old is a mature, refined blended Scotch that showcases the house’s skillful layering of malt and grain whiskies. Its “double-aged” treatment adds extra polish, yielding a rich but balanced dram. It’s well suited for slow sipping—offering depth without overwhelming heaviness.
It is a blend of Scotch whiskies each aged at least 18 years. Dewar’s uses its signature “double-aging” (marrying) technique—after blending, the whisky is returned to oak to rest and integrate.
In Dewar’s own words, the 18 is “aged, blended, and aged again to create a smooth rich taste with bold flavor laced with a rich body of dark chocolate and dried fruit.”
The ABV is 40% (80 proof).
