Origins & Craftsmanship

Angel’s Envy sources its spirit from rye whiskey matured in new American oak barrels for its core ageing process. Afterwards, the whiskey is finished up to 18 months in Caribbean rum casks, which lend additional character and complexity. The brand’s craftspeople selected rum casks from numerous candidates (sampling over 100 rums) to find the precise flavor profile that would complement rye whiskey’s natural spice and grain complexity. The result is a finished whiskey bottled at around 50% ABV (100 proof).

Tasting Profile

Nose: A vibrant blend of caramel candy, maple sugar, vanilla bean, and hazelnut melds with bright citrus peel and seasoned oak. Beneath lies a hint of spicy rye grain and light sherry wood.
Palate: The initial sweetness opens: rich rum-cask finish presents dark sugar, toffee, and soft tropical fruit. Under those layers you find rye spice (white pepper, clove), toasted oak, and warming grain-bread texture.
Finish: Sweet and dry in sequence—rum sweetness transitions into dry oak and subtle rye spice. Dried fruit and baking spice linger alongside a gentle warmth and licorice-root echo.
