Created by the bourbon-blending team at 2XO (led by blender Dixon Dedman), The Sneakerhead Blend is part of their “Icon Series”—limited-edition, small-batch bourbon blends inspired by cultural themes (in this case, sneaker culture). The bourbon uses a dual mash-bill approach: one high-rye mash (around 35 % rye) and one moderate-rye mash (around 18 % rye). The high-rye portion then receives extra oak exposure (double-barrelled into new charred oak barrels, char levels #3 and #4) for added depth. The result is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at approximately 104 proof (~52% ABV), with an age-statement not specified (NAS) yet meeting straight bourbon standards.
