55% ABV (110 Proof), 750 ml, finished in port wine casks
This "Heavenly" pick is a "barrel select" edition of Angel's Envy, bottled at 110 proof for Blackwell's.
Color: Deep amber with a reddish tint.
Nose: Aromas of vanilla, caramel, and honey are prominent, with notes of ripe fruit, such as cherry and apricot, and a hint of oak.
Palate: The whiskey is smooth and velvety, with flavors of toffee, butterscotch, and toasted oak. There are also notes of dark fruit, such as blackberry and plum, and a subtle spiciness, a touch of chocolate, with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish: The finish is long and warm, with a gentle sweetness that lingers on the palate. The oakiness becomes more pronounced, with a touch of smokiness and a hint of leather.
