PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This 11-year-old bourbon from the Hardin’s Creek Warehouse Series delivers a bold yet elegant expression of high-rack maturation. With barrels aged deep on the 9th floor of Warehouse G, it marries rich oak depth and refined intensity—ideal for the serious bourbon enthusiast seeking provenance and character.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Crafted at the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky, this release is part of the Warehouse Series, which examines how environment and elevation influence whiskey maturation. Identical mash bills were placed across multiple warehouses and floors, and this expression spent 11 years in Warehouse G on the 9th floor (9FL)—a high elevation rack location known for greater seasonal flux, increased barrel-wood interaction, and intensified aging. It is bottled at 55% ABV (110 proof), non-chill-filtered, and represents a craft-forward exploration of bourbon terroir.
Tasting Profile
Nose: Immediate aromas of toasted caramel, deep vanilla bean, and dark orchard fruit (pear, red apple) open first. Underneath sits a bed of charred oak, subtle leather, and baking spice—cinnamon and clove emerging quietly.
Palate: The texture is robust and full-bodied. Entry reveals brown-sugar sweetness, maple syrup, and roasted pecan. Mid-palate brings firm oak tannins, espresso-dark chocolate, dried cherry, and a whisper of black pepper. A refined spice emerges, shaped by the height and heat of the high-rack aging.
Finish: Long and structured. The finish lingers on cigar-box cedar, chipped oak staves, late harvest fruit and a soft ember of smoky char. Grain sweetness remains, though firmly set within oak and tannin—balanced rather than over-wrought.
