Crafted by the house of Bacardi (Puerto Rico) from a blend of scarce and older rum stocks drawn from the family’s reserves, Gran Reserva Limitada leverages rare barrels matured under Caribbean conditions before being expertly blended. It is presented at 40% ABV and finished in oak to accentuate richness.
Tasting Profile
Nose: A soft mahogany tone introduces aromas of almond, vanilla, lightly toasted oak and dried dates or raisins.
Palate: Smooth and medium-bodied. Flavours of dried fruit (raisins, plums), chocolate, dulce de leche and soft oak tannin predominate, with hints of butterscotch and dark cherry.
Finish: Long, dry-ish and elegant—oak lingers, joined by subtle roasted almond, faint leather and soft spice. It finishes more refined than overtly sweet or heavy.
