The Ruinart Brut Rosé Champagne is a benchmark non‑vintage rosé from the oldest Champagne house, expertly blending elegance, richness, and vibrant fruit character.
Crafted from 55 % Pinot Noir and 45 % Chardonnay, with roughly 30 % of the Pinot Noir vinified as red wine to add depth and color
Draws fruit from approximately 40–50 premier-cru sites across Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Blancs, including long-aged reserve wines (20–30 %) to enhance roundness and complexity
Displays a radiant coral‑rose to rosewood color with a fine, persistent mousse
Primary aromas: intense red-berry notes like pomegranate, raspberry, cherry, plus exotic touches of lychee, guava, and delicate rose petals
Secondary aromas: warm spices (tonka bean, nutmeg, ginger), gentle smoke, toast, and hints of crystallized honey and dried thyme
Flavor profile: a balanced expression of macerated raspberry, poached apricot, yellow peach, with a touch of biscuity toast and smoky nuance
Texture: luscious and satiny, buoyed by a lively, mouthwatering bead and polished acidity
Finish: elegant and long‑lasting, featuring pink grapefruit, peppermint, dried strawberry, smoked almonds, and a refined minty note
Wine Spectator scores it 94 pts, praising its sleek yet expressive style, with layered raspberry, apricot, toasted notes, and a mouthwatering finish; recommend drinking through 2030
Decanter awarded 92 pts, calling it "utterly delicious, fruit‐driven with surprising finesse" under winemaker Frédéric Panaiotis
Wine Enthusiast gave 90‑92 pts, highlighting its silky salmon hue and soft strawberry fruit balanced by crisp acidity
Natalie MacLean rated a stellar 97/100, praising its elegance and vibrancy .
Ideal pairings: Oily fish and shellfish, duck dishes, charcuterie, sushi, rich hors d’oeuvres, or fruit‑based desserts; also shines as a refined aperitif.
Serve at about 8 °C in a tulip or white‑wine glass to highlight aromatic complexity and effervescence.
Aged 2–3 years on the lees, and further benefits from the house’s chalk cellars, providing delicate creaminess and aging potential.
Best enjoyed now through 2026–2030 for peak vibrancy and freshness.
Ruinart Brut Rosé is a luxurious, fruit-forward yet refined Champagne. High-scoring and beautifully balanced, it embodies the finesse and depth one expects from Ruinart—perfect for special occasions or memorable meals.
"A gorgeous rosé in a rich, vinous style, this shows a satiny mousse and well-honed acidity, which buoy a detailed range of macerated raspberry fruit, dried apricot, grated ginger, graphite and chopped roasted almond flavors. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay." Wine Spectator 94 points
