The Inniskillin 2019 Gold Vidal Icewine (375 ml) is a prestigious, oak-aged expression of Niagara Peninsula Vidal Blanc, offering indulgent sweetness and bright acidity in a luxurious half-bottle format.


🍇 Origins & Craft

  • Crafted from 100% Vidal Blanc grapes naturally frozen on the vine at around –10 °C, the grapes are harvested in winter and slowly fermented to preserve their intense fruit.

  • Once fermented, the juice is aged for about 14 weeks in 90% new French oak, adding texture and nuanced spice to the profile.

Rich and inviting, with layered aromas of apricot, peach, pineapple, mango, entwined with orange peel, clove, and vanilla, reflecting both fruit intensity and oak integration.

Rich and unctuous, this also has classic aromatics and a certain level of freshness that keeps it from being particularly cloying. This is also completely delicious, with a little of bit of spicy apricots on the mouthwatering finish. The acidity lifts the fruit and allows it to shine through. It's never going to be a nervy wine, but it is not flabby either. If you like stickies, this won't disappoint. It should age very well, acquiring a bit more character along the way.
