"A lovely Riesling, with aromas of Golden Delicious apples, cinnamon, talc and a touch of petrol on the nose. Lighter-bodied and surprisingly dry, given the 11% alcohol by volume listed on the label. "This wine originates from selected vineyards in the western stretches of the Niagara Peninsula, lying at varying elevations close to the shoreline of Lake Ontario. At these sites, clay-loam soils laced with shale and limestone combine with moderating onshore breezes to deliver a dry style of Riesling defined by its vibrant citrus fruit and steely, mineral feel.
2020 was a warm, dry vintage with low-to-moderate yields and highly concentrated fruit. Riesling ripened somewhat early, delivering fully extracted wines with ample acidity and long-term cellaring potential."
