Origins & Craftsmanship
Dos Primos was founded in 2019 by cousins Thomas Rhett and Jeff Worn, with production carried out by the González family distillers in Jalisco, Mexico. The Blanco is made entirely from hand-harvested, estate-grown Blue Weber agave sourced from both the Los Altos (highlands) and valley regions of Jalisco—an intentional dual-terroir blend intended to combine the fruity sweetness of high-altitude agave with the earthier character of lower valley agave. After oven-roasting and extraction, the fermentation and double-distillation yield a clear, un-aged (blanco) tequila bottled at 40 % ABV (80 proof).

Tasting Profile

• Nose: Fresh cooked agave sweetness stands out, accompanied by gentle herbal notes (think lemongrass or fresh leaf) and a lift of citrus—lime or grapefruit zest—giving an inviting brightness.

• Palate: Clean and smooth in texture. Up front the roasted agave sugar comes through clearly, followed by touches of vanilla or honey-like sweetness, and subtle citrus peel amid light herbaceousness. Mid-palate reveals mild white pepper spice and a hint of mineral or stone-ground earthiness.

• Finish: Medium-length and balanced. The agave core remains present, the citrus and herbal notes fade into a gentle pepper-spice tail, and the finish leaves a clean, crisp impression rather than heavy oak or barrel-influence (as expected in a blanco).
