Born on the remote island of Islay, Scotland, this expression is crafted at Bruichladdich Distillery using the same 22 hand-foraged island botanicals that define the flagship range, now distilled and bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof). The elevated proof unlocks greater extraction of botanical oils, enhancing aroma, texture and flavour intensity. The spirit honours Islay’s wild flora—from gorse and heather to apple mint and bog myrtle—and is produced with precision small-batch distillation and a deep respect for place.
Nose: A heady rush of fresh juniper and green pine, overlaid with lemon zest, apple-mint freshness and wave of herbal gorse blooms.
Palate: Rich and layered—crisply defined juniper meets a lush core of meadow herbs, subtle wild-flower honey, citrus peel and underlying root-spice warmth. The 50% ABV gives a weight and glide that remains elegant.
