Origins & Craftsmanship

Located just north of Saint-Émilion in its satellite appellation, Château Saint‑André Corbin is one of Bordeaux’s most historic estates—with roots dating to the Roman poet Ausonius. The current vinification blends modern precision with tradition: 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, vinified in cement vats with cold pre-fermentation maceration and 4½ weeks of maceration, followed by 12 months’ aging in French oak (33% new).

• Aroma & Flavor: Deep aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, and violets, layered with mocha, spice, toasty oak, licorice, and vanilla. 

• Palate: Full-bodied, silky yet bold—dark fruit and cocoa glide over fine tannins, with red currant, sweet tobacco, and a hint of singed cedar adding complexity. 

• Structure & Finish: Marked by firm, dusty tannins and youthful acidity, it maintains impressive balance, freshness, and aging potential.
