Domaine Chante Cigale 2022 "The Cicada" Vin de France Rouge

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Domaine Chante Cigale is based in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and has been run by the Favier family for generations. Their vineyards cover 50 hectares and are part of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Alexandre, even in his early 30s, has gained recognition from influential wine critics like Robert Parker. While Domaine Chante Cigale is renowned for its top-notch Châteauneufdu-Pape, they’ve introduced «The Cicada,» a lighter red from the Southern Rhone. The name «The Cicada» pays tribute to the estate’s emblem, Chante Cigale, inspired by the melodious cicadas of Provence.

The vineyard is located within the small village of Travaillan, positioned to the north of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It lies between Cairanne and Rasteau. Encompassing an area of 4 hectares, the vineyard produces around 20,000 bottles of wine. The soil composition is primarily clay-limestone, and the vine plants are 30 years old. The yield is approximately 45 hectoliters per hectare.

Bottle Size: All bottles are 750ML unless otherwise noted.
