The Montine Estate was created in 1933 when Albert Monteillet purchased the land. Rich from the expertise of her father and uncle, Mélina, the 4th generation of the family, took over the management of the Estate. With all her enthusiasm, she is challenging herself to combine traditional and contemporary methods in the heart of the beautiful warm Rhone region.
Grenache thrives on the Grillon plateau’s pebbly soil, while Syrah excels on Taulignan’s limestone. With over 20 years of experience, they prioritize eco-friendly practices, ensuring a delicate soil-plant balance. Their approach includes alternating soil work and grassing, manual methods, and strategic high trellising for better aeration. Harvesting is tailored to each season.
