Domaine Georges Vernay 2020 Viognier Vin de Pays des Collines Rhodaniennes Le Pied de Samson

A mini-Condrieu that comes from vines just outside the appellation, this Viognier Le Pied De Samson is ideal for a Viognier from France while not breaking the bank. Classic notes of buttered peach, orange blossom, flowers, and subtle minerality all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, fleshy, textured Viognier. 

In reference to a Pilat legend, the giant Samson set foot on the right bank and drank from the Rhône. There's a trace of his foot not far from Vernon's property. The expression of viognier in its primitive expression with fruit and gourmandise.
