Glenmorangie “The Original” 12 Year is the heart and soul of the Glenmorangie core range: a light, elegant Highland malt that balances freshness and sweetness with soft oak and fruit character. It’s a great “everyday” dram—suitable for both newcomers and seasoned whisky lovers who prefer refinement over punch. The age increase to 12 years has helped fill out its flavors a bit more, while retaining the signature style.
Distillery: Glenmorangie, located in Tain in the Highlands of Scotland.
Heritage: The house’s “Original” single malt was long aged 10 years, but in recent times they upgraded it to a 12-year age statement to add more maturity and body.
Maturation: Aged fully in ex-bourbon American oak casks.
Bottling / ABV: Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).
