"This very traditional Irish whiskey maker’s sister company just happens to be the world’s biggest tequila producer, Jose Cuervo. The nose starts out with lemon and tart grapefruit, with a hint of semi-ripe banana slices. On the palate, the tequila influence is present but muted, as the sweet vanilla flavors from the main cask maturation take over, accented by hints of ginger and baked bananas.
