Designation: Barbera d’Alba Superiore — "Fides" (“faith” in Latin) from the single-vineyard Vigna Mosconi in Monforte d’Alba.
Age: First produced in 2017; the 2020 marks a point of true expression for the vineyard’s fruit.
Alcohol: Approximately 14.5% ABV.
Grapes are picked from very low-yielding vines (~<30 hl/ha), enhancing concentration.
Fermentation in stainless steel with 30 days of skin contact, emphasizing depth and extraction.
Aging: Around 12 months in large oak barrels (“botti”) plus a smaller portion in French oak barriques.
Color: Deep, intense ruby-red.
Nose: Aromas of ripe red fruit (black cherry, raspberry), violet florals, spice, cocoa, coffee, and savory undergrowth.
