The Brancaia 2022 Chianti Classico Riserva—a beautifully structured expression that captures the elegance and depth of Tuscan Sangiovese with a subtle touch of Merlot.This Riserva strikes a striking balance between vibrant fruit and refined structure. Blend & Aging: Sourced from the best grapes at Brancaia and Poppi. The wine is a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot. Sangiovese is matured in tonneaux (large oak barrels) for 16 months, while Merlot rests in barriques, followed by a minimum of eight months of bottle aging before release.
Vineyard Sites: Located across Castellina and Radda in Chianti, at elevations between 230 and 400 meters with south–southwest exposures; soils range from loamy to medium-textured with rocky skeletons.
Aging Potential: Built to last—cellaring for up to 15 years is realistic based on structured freshness and complexity.
Color: Rich ruby red, signaling depth and concentration.
