It’s a great all-around dram: enjoyable neat, fun with a splash of water, and even cocktail-worthy if you want character rather than neutral base.
Produced by Kavalan Distillery in Yilan County, Taiwan.
It is the flagship, non-age-statement (NAS) expression in Kavalan’s core line.
The whisky is matured in a mix of barrel types: ex-bourbon, sherry, wine casks, and refill casks — this blending helps bring complexity in a shorter timeframe.
ABV: 40% (80 proof) in many markets.
