From the Estate Collection of Penelope Bourbon, the Founders Reserve is a limited edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. It carries an age statement of 13 years and is bottled at 121.4 proof. The mash bill is 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley. The product is crafted in char-#3 heavy toast barrels, giving extended time in oak, significant depth and complexity.
Whiskey reviewer t8ke describes this release as “bold, intense and delicious… the variety of sweet notes—cherry cola, crème brûlée, burnt brown sugar—really coat your mouth on every sip, while tobacco, cacao nibs and charred oak balance the richness.”
