Founded in 1862, the distillery behind this rum uses fresh sugar-cane juice rather than molasses, employing a traditional “rhum agricole” style rooted in Haitian terroir. For this limited-edition release, the matured rum is finished in barrels made from Mizunara oak—a rare Japanese wood known for its slow growth and distinct aromatic profile. The finishing process is carefully managed to preserve the inherent purity of the cane rum while layering subtle wood and floral influence.
