Origins & Craftsmanship

Produced on Hawaiʻi’s Big Island (in the Kohala region), Kuleana’s Hawaiian Rum Agricole is crafted from the juice of estate-grown heirloom sugar-cane (kō) grown on volcanic soils. The cane is hand-cut, pressed fresh, and fermented using a bespoke yeast strain, then distilled in handmade copper pot stills to 60–74 % ABV. The final rum is bottled at 40 % ABV without added colours or flavourings. The agricole style—rare in rum production (less than 5% of rum globally is made from fresh cane juice rather than molasses)—places this among the most terroir-expressive rums in the world.
