"Cooper Spirits recently introduced its Lock Stock & Barrel 21-Year Straight Rye Whiskey, the fifth release in the Lock Stock & Barrel series.
A statement from the distiller notes that this product is one of the oldest straight rye whiskeys available on the market, surpassing its predecessor, the Lock Stock & Barrel 20-Year Straight Rye Whiskey.
Lock Stock & Barrel 21-year is double distilled in copper pots from a mash bill of 100 percent rye grain. It is noted that a “robust cut” is selected then aged in new charred American oak barrels in cold weather for 21 years. It’s then bottled at 111 proof.
The distiller’s notes show that the result is an intense and balanced straight rye, with aromas that suggest warm, spiced date cake, treacle toffee, orange peel and baking spices.

The rye comes in the brand’s opaque black bottle, shielding the whiskey from light exposure, and embossed with a black-on-black, 21 year age statement. The bottle comes in a wooden box that is charred in the Shou Sugi Ban process to preserve the wood and enhance the natural wood grains." The Whiskey Wash
