Distilled in the United States, The Executioner is produced with a high-rye mashbill (often around 95% rye or another aggressive proportion) to maximize peppery, herbal intensity. It is matured in new charred American oak barrels, aged sufficiently to build depth and oak integration, and bottled as a straight rye whiskey.
The whiskey is typically non-chill filtered and bottled at a robust proof to preserve its full spicy profile and flavor concentration.
Nose:
Intense rye spice, black peppercorn, cedar, and pine needle. Beneath the heat lie notes of raisin, dark cherry, and leather.
Palate:
