Origins & Craftsmanship
Produced at the Tomatin Distillery in the Scottish Highlands, this 12-year old expression is matured in a carefully selected combination of ex-bourbon barrels and ex-Spanish-sherry casks. Bottled at 43% ABV (in many markets) with non-chill-filtration and natural colour, it reflects the distillery’s modern approach to marrying fruit-driven spirit with expressive wood maturation.
Tasting Profile
Nose: Delicate aromas of wild heather, pine and cedar evolve into crème caramel, ripe apple, pear and hints of mango.
Palate: Medium-bodied and smooth. Notes of stewed apples and pears join malt sweetness and buttery toffee. A soft nutty complexity emerges, complemented by warm oak spice and light citrus.
Finish: Clean and gently sustained, with lingering fruit-cake echoes, subtle spice and a soft oak warmth that invites another sip.
