The Marchesi de' Frescobaldi 2021 Chianti Classico Tenuta Perano, awarded a 93 Points score from Wine Spectator, is a vibrant expression of Sangiovese, sourced from the amphitheater-shaped vineyards of Gaiole in Chianti, perched at 500 meters above sea level. This unique terroir imparts the wine with a brilliant ruby hue and a complex bouquet of wild berries, cherries, and plums, complemented by floral notes of violet and wild rose. Subtle hints of clove, cardamom, and balsamic undertones add depth to the aromatic profile.
On the palate, the wine is marked by silky tannins and a refreshing minerality, mirroring its aromatic complexity. Aged for 12 months in a combination of oak barriques and stainless steel, followed by additional bottle aging, it offers a harmonious balance of structure and elegance.
