Distilled by Buffalo Trace Distillery (now under Sazerac), Eagle Rare launched in 1975 using Seagram’s aged stocks and has since become a cornerstone of Kentucky bourbon. This expression is aged for a minimum of 10 years in new charred American oak barrels and bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV).
Appearance: Medium amber with rich, lingering legs.
Nose: Complex and inviting—expect toffee, orange peel, herbs, honey, leather, and oak.
Palate: Smooth and dry, yet nuanced: candied almonds and rich cocoa lead, with crème brûlée–like creaminess, honey, vanilla, cherry, orange peel, and gentle baking spices.
Finish: Dry and lingering, with oak, fruit echoes, spice, and understated warmth.
Eagle Rare has earned multiple accolades—including a Gold from the 2025 International Wine & Spirits Competition and Double Gold at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition—celebrated for consistent quality and craftsmanship.
