Victoriana begins its life in first and second-fill bourbon casks before undergoing a distinctive secondary maturation: up to twelve months finishing in heavily charred bourbon barrels alongside Pedro Ximénez sherry butts, then married together for a further six months to fully integrate before bottling. Since a 2020 recipe update, the vatting runs roughly 30% PX sherry casks against 70% heavily charred virgin American oak, with component whiskies mostly around 10 to 12 years of age, even though the finished bottle carries no age statement.
