Blackwell’s was founded back in 2004 by our humans, with one goal in mind: to make wine and spirits shopping approachable, unpretentious, and a little bit fun (okay, maybe a lotta fun). No snobbery here — just shelves stacked with bottles that spark curiosity, conversation, and joy.
We're a shop built by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. Whether you’re looking for a Tuesday night table wine, a rare single malt to impress the in-laws, or a funky vermouth to shake up your cocktail game — this is your playground. And we’re here to help fetch just the right one.
Sheldon says:

Over the years, we’ve built a collection that’s equal parts classic and adventurous — the things you came for, and the hidden gems you didn’t know you needed (yet).
In 2018, we opened our second location in San Rafael, so whether you’re city-based in San Francisco or northbound in Marin, you can now “get the good stuff” without crossing a bridge. 🐾
