Akashi 5 Year Old Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky — a bold, yet refined Japanese whisky that’s aged to perfection in sherry casks, blending rich dried fruit, warm spice, and a touch of oak for a smooth, complex sip that brings the best of both worlds.
Aged five years in sherry Casks. 50% ABV
The White Oak distillery in the town of Akashi is supposedly the oldest distillery in Japanese (four years older than Yamazaki, they say). The Eigashima Company (current owner of the distillery) didn’t release their first single malt until 2007. The malt comes from Scotland, and this distillery only operates for two months out of every year.
