PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 is a beautifully balanced Speyside single malt that marries Balvenie’s classic honeyed / malty spirit with a gentle rum cask influence. The rum finishing adds tropical fruit sweetness and extra depth without overwhelming the spirit’s core character. This bottling is elegant, approachable, and offers a delightful twist on the Speyside style. In a 200 mL version, it’s perfect for sampling or gifting—big flavor in a compact pour.
The Balvenie is located in Dufftown, Speyside, Scotland, and is known for its traditional crafts (floor malting, onsite cooperage, etc.).
Maturation / Finishing:
1. The spirit is first aged in traditional American oak whisky barrels (ex-bourbon style).
2. After that primary maturation, it is "finished" in American oak casks that had been previously filled with a blend of Caribbean rums (West Indian style) to impart tropical and sweet notes.
Alcohol / Proof: Bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof) in this expression. 200 ml
It is non-chill filtered and no artificial coloring is added, preserving a natural appearance and mouthfeel.
