This limited-edition blended whiskey is a bold and adventurous expression (and now on sale!)—an American rye-and-bourbon base finished in Caribbean rum barrels. It offers an arresting mix of spice, oak and tropical sweetness, delivering a unique sipping experience that bridges bourbon tradition and rum-barrel innovation.
Crafted by Bardstown Bourbon Company in Kentucky as part of their Collaborative Series, this version partners with Foursquare Rum Distillery of Barbados. The blend comprises approximately 90% 7-year-old rye whiskey (corn/rye/barley mash) and 10% 17-year-old bourbon, which after blending is finished for about 23 months in rum-casks previously used by Foursquare. Bottled at 107 proof, each element is selected to highlight both craft whiskey depth and Caribbean finish nuance.
Nose: A vibrant aromatic entry—plantain and toasted almond, clove and coconut, orange-zest and raisin appear elegantly.
Palate: Bold yet balanced—rye-spice meets aged oak, layered with peanut, coconut and a hint of rum-cask molasses.
Finish: Long and textured—baked fruit, lingering spice and caramel sweetness meld with oak dryness to close the experience.

"This whiskey from Bardstown leaps out of the glass with cocoa nibs, chocolate croissant, cigar box, and banana split aromas. The blend of 7 year old Indiana rye and 17 year old Tennessee bourbon is finished in rum barrels for nearly 2 years, imparting flavors of syrupy fruits, fig jam, overripe bananas, and cherry cola. While the nose is assertive, the palate is more subdued, allowing delicate flavors of leather, cherry cordial, and berry smoothie to shine.
