Origins & Craftsmanship
Produced in Kentucky by Heaven Hill Distillery, Bernheim Wheat Whiskey is the first widely distributed American straight whiskey to use winter wheat as its primary grain (minimum 51 % wheat in the mash bill) rather than the more common corn. The remainder of the mash bill typically includes corn and malted barley. It is distilled, aged in new charred American oak barrels (as required for “straight whiskey”), and bottled in a clean, modern style that emphasises the softer character of wheat.
